It seems that just about all RVers talk about, dream about, and yearn for the day when they can finally travel to Alaska and see the many wonders of that state.
We have been fortunate to see some parts of Alaska—the ports readily available to cruise ships that ply the Inland Passage from either Vancouver, British Columbia, or from Seattle, Washington.
Our first cruise from Vancouver was a breath-taking introduction to the wonders of Alaska, and we extended our trip by taking a bus tour to Denali and then riding the train back to Anchorage. Our favorite town was Haines.
Our second cruise from Seattle also included Linda's younger son and his wife, as well as Linda's best friend from high school and her beaux. This cruise visited less ports and spent more time at sea. We did get a chance to visit Skagway and also Glacier Bay.
Linda and Mike have both vowed that, one day, they will venture "all the way" with their motorhome to more leisurely enjoy the many wonders of Alaska.
